Hoping Chapter One Lacks Significance

The class I am taking right now required two books which I bought used through Amazon. I am a little behind on my reading (RamCT had a major meltdown right before classes started) so I was really hoping my book would be in the mail today. I was happy to find it crammed in our mailbox after work and opened it up only to find that the first page was #21 - the whole first chapter was missing. I really don't have the time to send it back, so here's hoping that the first chapter wasn't all that important anyway :) I guess that's what you can expect when buying a used book on the Internet for $4.00 -

Not to Shabby

Lately I have been going through a phase where I don't feel like our home decor is meshing - We have too many accent pieces and not enough consistent elements. So, little by little I intend to find the pieces we need to make things click - It's making be bananas!
We went garage sale-ing on Sat. morning and I found these pieces of art for $1.00 - Love that!
We also found this guy having a Book Sale - He basically had a library in his garage from years of collecting. He is a retired librarian from NY that sells his books every summer - So we ended up with four new books.
Jordan left my boss's yard sale with a new golf club - SWEET! It was a glorious morning/afternoon spent with the one I love :)

Todd = SoCal

Todd successfully made his move to L.A. ! For those of you who are unaware, Todd has been in Massachusetts the last few years and has just moved to L.A. to continue schooling!!! YAY you, Todd!!! I'm so glad your trip cross-country was safe and I can't wait to see you in about a month!

The Fun of August

I am beginning to realize that in the profession the Jordan has chosen, August and September will be months of uncertainty. That is until he gets a super great job somewhere and we settle down. As for right now, who knows!

August and September is the heart of the hockey off-season and the time when teams hire and fire their radio broadcasters - There are a few openings in the CHL that Jordan is looking into - Nothing concrete at all, but possibilities so, if you could send some little prayers out for us we would greatly appreciate it... More than likely we will be staying here for a little while longer, but not knowing is hard. Love you all-

Anniversaries, all around!

Happy Anniversary to both Jody and Whitney (belated, as usual) and Jim and Jill!!!! We hope that you spent your special day doing something spectacular, or at least in celebration! We love all four of you - Jody and Whit- We can't even believe it's been TWO YEARS already!

I had to post this one because we can't get enough of it! Go You!

Sushi and Iced Tea

My mom always has a pitcher of iced tea in the fridge - always. Well, for whatever reason after I left Elizabeth I thought it would not be possible to replicate iced tea in a fridge of my very own. NOT ANY MORE! I brewed my pitcher of iced tea in I don't know how long and am very excited about it.
...and Jordan and I ate sushi for dinner on Sun. - From Costco
*Amanda - We found Asian Mix at Costco and it is GLORIOUS!
See you later alligators -

Wildfires n' Such

The surrounding areas of Helena are on fire. They were on fire when we left on Thurs. night and we thought things would be under control by the time we got back, but alas, they are not. We had to open up our windows last night to air everything out, but now the house smells like a BBQ and I feel like I have been hit by a truck. It is so smoggy we can barely see Mt. Helena...It makes me sad . Please pray that the fires stop soon ...

Lincoln City, OR = AWESOME

Jordan and I made our way to Portland this weekend and then caravaned to Lincoln City, OR with the Duvall Clan. Jill's side of the family rented a beach house - We had so much fun, ate our brains off, laughed hysterically, and hated to leave :( Hope the rest of you are still having fun and relaxing. THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything ! Also, thank you to both of Jordan's sets of Grandparents for their hospitality and we want to you to know it was so good to see everybody again. Here are a handful of pics from the fun:
"How many Duvalls does it take..."

Celebrating Uncle Rob's 50th Birthday at Mo's
Jody, Scott (Cousin Amy's Husband), and Jordan
Aunt Mary Ann, Whitney, and Amy about to inhale Jill's Fajitas
Jordan, Malia, "Uncle Joshy", and Jody
Whitney, Amanda, Angela, Amy, and myself getting ready to play Battle of the Sexes!
This is the slug that Jody went hiking to find for whitney b/c she had never seem one before - Totally gross, but kinda sweet too -
Our second trip to Mo's

We're on Board

After hearing all about them we're on board. I found these sweet green ones at our local Van's Thriftway (Whit, yours in on it's way) - Now here's my question:

Is it bad etiquette to bring my Van's bag into say, Real Food Store (our equivalent to Whole Foods)? I say no.

Our Special Boy

Sorry for the lack of update on our dog- some of you thought maybe something terrible happened and I couldn't bear to post about it - Not the case. Wallace is fine, he has an elevated enzyme level in his liver, but we'll just test it again in a week or so. But he's acting like his doofy-uncoordinated-sweet self.
Thanks for all of your concern :)
