Our First Year

I am finally sitting down to write about our first year as a married couple (July 8th) !

Wow. Never thought I'd be in writing this from Helena, MT. In fact, I didn't really even know where Helena was on a map before we were married (pronounced Hell-in-uh, or you an call it Hel-Town as the kids say)

When we were debating whether we would be coming to MT , we seriously thought about sending Jordan to work for the hockey season while I stayed behind to finish school. The reaction was the same from both sets of parents - "Whether you stay in CO or move to MT, go together. " It was the best advice we've ever been given - Thank you.
(I guess there's a reason they have been married since the beginning of time :)

I cannot imagine all that we would have missed out on, had we lived apart for this last year. The transition to MT was quite honestly the hardest thing I have been through, but having this whole year together- to grow and get to know eachother as a married couple has been the best. It's amazing how much you learn about your spouse the first year - I'm a little more scattered (let's call it a free spirit) than Jordan realized and he is more Obsessive-Compulsive than I thought....You choose to ignore some things while in the dating phase :)

Jordan is my greatest friend and supporter and motivator - and I thank God for all the blessings in my life, but especially for my Husband.

Congrats on one year. May you have many more....someday your kids will say the same thing about you guys when you've been married since "before time." You're only 34 behind us!

Congrats! I know this is late, but I just wanted you to know that the two of you have been such an inspiration for Garrett and me. It's been such a pleasure watching the two of you grow as a couple and I only wish we could have been there for more of your first year. you guys are so great and we miss you so much in colorado!
