Weekend Wonder

This has been a wonderful weekend - I'll tell you all about it!
Friday we celebrated Jordan's Birthday (BTW - Happy Birthday to my folks too!) by bbq'ing at Barry and Fonda's house with some of the team. And then we met Dave and Christine for some drinks at Mulligan's...After awhile we wandered over to Burberry's where we met Michelle and some more of the players. It was a fun evening with the Birthday Boy!!

Saturday we took the dog on a long walk, did a little shopping, had lunch and watched The Full Monty (neither of us had seen it). Today, we rearranged the living room furniture, got groceries, cleaned up the house and read at Starbucks for a while. I researched Europe in my Let's Go Europe book. Jordan is reading a book called Zamboni Rodeo...more to come on this book. A wonderful weekend was had by the Duvall's!

Umm. Awesome.

Counting Crows just came out with their first album (Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings) in I think six years and it is fantastic. Gavin Degraw is releasing one in May. This is going to be a great summer :)

LOVE IT!!!

That's All She Wrote

Sadly, the Gorillas couldn't quite squeak out a playoff run this season and we are officially in the "off-season". Jordan and I are thrilled to have our weekends back and I am happy to have a live-in husband again:) The off season of course comes with a mixture of emotions ranging from excitement to uncertainy and a little axiety. This is the second "off-season" we have been through and I guess usual gameplan is to take everything day by day and pray that we are where we're meant to be....In this business moving around is common, in fact I was talking with a hockey wife the other day and she said they had been moving for nine years! Jordan and I would just like to find the right place for us to stay for a while. Whether that be Amarillo, or elsewhere we'd just like to know...

Right now it feels like the last day of high school - lots people leaving , some we probably won't see again, but some we will. Weird. Anyway, Jim and Jill came down to visit for Easter Weekend and were able to join us for the end-of-the-year Gorilla's Party. We had yummy bbq and watched as Jordan gave away team awards and auctioned off jerseys. As ususal it was great to have guests in our humble abode, and Wallace always loves to have extra people to lean against. Thanks for making the trip!!

Saint Patrick's Day 2008

Every Monday Jordan hosts his weekly Head Coach's Show at Mulligan's Irish Sports Pub - Well it just so happens that it was St. Patty's Day too so after his show we hung out and drank a little green beer - This picture was taken from the "spotted" section of the amarillo newspaper and of course I am making a silly face behind Alie's head :) HAPPY ST.PATRICKS DAY Y'ALL!

Climbing the Ladder

I was promoted on Wednesday!!!! Woot Woot! With the promotion comes an increase in pay, which is not all that is important in life, but it sure is nice :) Watch out Dick Kovacevich, I'm coming after you next ------

Perhaps Fritalian

Love this commercial!

Patience and Baubles

Gift cards do not last long in my hands however this last Christmas I demonstrated that I do indeed have patience, and I saved one for a rainy (or sunny) day... And it paid off today!!! I have been super bored lately with my drab winter wardrobe and the weather here is getting nicer and nicer (consistently 70's) so I took advantage of my saved gift card and took me down to the mall!!!
I got a couple bright colored tops and this wonderfully baubly right hand ring. And what did it cost me? NOTHING - BECAUSE I WAS PATIENT!

Visiting Ashley!

Hello! I'm back! Every blogger goes through a period of time when you just don't feel like blogging... that's been me lately.

There has not been too much out of the ordinary going on around here, however I did get the chance to visit Ashley, my dear friend (we've known each other since pre-birth:) who lives in Midland. Midland is about four hours away from Amarillo so last Saturday I drove down and met up with Ashley and her husband, Jon. I also met Jordan there - the team had traveled from Austin the night before to then play a game in Odessa. It was SO good to catch up with those two and make a little road trip out of it :)

Work has been busy busy busy and the Gorillas are fighting for a playoff spot so the games have been exciting although we have been losing a lot. Wallace had a rash, now he's better...ummmmmm - I'll think of something exciting to write about. Thanks for checking our my blog and I hope you are happy and healthy wherever you are!!!!
