More to come (in less than a month, I swear)

There is so much to blog about - Work, Raclette, Painting, Future Plans, etc.... But, I'm sleepy so, I have to stop for the evening .

Faith Day 2008

A couple weekends ago my mom and dad invited Jordan and I to Faith Day at the Rockies game with their church... After the game they have everyone staying for Faith Day move to the third base side of Coors Field... Dave Drevecky was the speaker and Steven Curtis Chapman was the musical guest! IT WAS AMAZING. I don't have enough great things to say about
Steven Curtis Chapman - His music is phenomenal and his story is extremely sad but speaks to God's amazing ability to heal hearts ... It was an awesome day that I am still thinking about this week.

This picture was from the drive home - the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen . It stretched all the way across the sky and the colors were so vivid (the pic does not do it justice)

Love - Love- Love

I love, love , love the Olympics! Jordan and I love it so much we may plan our tentative Euro Trip around the London 2012 games!!!

Well, lets see...

I"m still here! Now let's get caught up - At the very beginning of this month Jody and Whitney moved to OR to start a new adventure in law school!!! Before that we had one last get-together with a bunch of their friends. It was super fun and yes, dancing ensued :) Whit and her bro Jay

Girls Trip

Two weekends ago my mom, Aunt Gail, and cousin Lindsey took a girls trip to a place about two hours or so outside of Colorado Springs. The purpose of our trip was to spread the ashes of my Great Grandma Bernice and my Great Grandpa Gail... We found the perfect place to lay them to rest and had a good time just being with each other! I'll spare you the "spreading of the ashes" pics, but here are a couple of our day:

I was about to post more pics, but my camera battery died - Aaahhhh! I'll go re-charge it and we'll be back in business

Wedding Bliss

Our good friends we met in Amarillo, Eric and Alie, were married this weekend at the Manor House in Littleton - The old crew from Amarillo came up for the nuptuals. We had a great time seeing everyone and the wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The cake was hockey themed and turned our really really cute. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure -
If you look closely you can see the Denver skyline through the mountains - Neat!

Our Old House

While we were waiting to take Wallace to a vet appointment we drove past the house that we used to live in- I know, not a very interesting post to anyone but probably Todd and myself, but oh well! It was so strange to drive down the street where we spent much of our childhood - The tree shown in the front yard use to be SO LITTLE! Aaaahhhhhh! Time flies so fast - Enjoy, Todd!

Fourth of July

On the 4th my folks and Jordan and I headed up to my Papa's house in Estes Park. It was absolutely beautiful up there and the weather was perfect. Some of Rose's family was up there and when they are around WE PLAY GAMES!!! Jordan was up until 5am playing Texas Hold 'Em with the fam! We had a great time and I was glad to get to spend some time up there since the house is now on the market and who knows how long they will have it :(

Lots to blog about

The first week we've been here has been busy and FULL of great things - To celebrate the Fourth of July the Blackhams and Duvalls went to the Rockies game on the third - As ususal, great fireworks and great company!

The Fargo, Amarillo

Saying goodbye never gets any easier....Apparently right before I was hired with Wells Fargo, this horse was hit by a cement truck and on the day I left, it was finally replaced. Neat story, i know ;)

Wild West Texas Wind

I know that blogging about weather is not very interesting, but I have some neat pictures to accompany the post, so I'm going for it! On Friday night Amarillo got hit by a crazy thunderstorm, probably some of the hardest rain I've ever seen. Early Saturday morning we found these two things -
A huge tree had been blown over in the wind and this sweet little lady was wandering the neighborhood. I put up some signs around the complex before calling any of the shelters and by about 4:30 her owner called to claim her! I was so relieved, and so was Wallace that she was going home. Here are a couple more pic from the wild events of Friday night.

Last Week as Texans

Yup, the rumors are true - We are returning to our beloved Colorado for the duration of the summer! We are making a Summer Tour of it and we are thrilled to be able to see our family, our friends, and the places we love the most. By the end of the summer we should know whether we will join a new hockey team somewhere or move up to Fort Collins. This will be my last week at work and we will leave Amarillo early next week.

COLORADO - HERE COME THE DUVALLS

Carrie Underwood - Super Cute

(notice the sign someone brought in the background)A few months ago Alie and I were able to get tickets to Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner's sold out concert in Amarillo (a major gorilla perk).... We were only able to get two tickets so Eric and Jordan missed out (Jordan was a little sad, b/c he has a tiny crush on her:) Needless to say, her concert was AWESOME!!!!!! She is not just a pretty face, but an amazing talent. She sang her butt off and left us wondering how she does it every night (and no, she was NOT lip-syncing)! The picture show how close our seats were, we're practically bff's with her now :) We had such a good time - Thanks Alie!

Home, Home on the Range

Surprise, surprise. I have not posted in a while! Since my last post Jordan and I took a little trip to CO to see our families. It was a really nice visit and thank you Ma and Pa Blackham and Duvall for putting us up for the weekend. In retrospect, I did not take very many pictures. But here are a couple....

Wallace cut his hine-area (hine or hind?) we think on a fence while in CO so I thought I'd share those pics with you! We took this pic before leaving for a couple hours. Needless to say when we returned he had removed the cone, ace bandage, and dressing on his wound. Once we got back to Amarillo, the wound wasn't healing very easily so we took him in to Dr. Sara and she gave him 5 staples! He is doing much better now!

I also got a pic at Maxwell's Soccer game! It was super cute to see them running around the field playing "soccer"!
Thanks again for having us and to the family that came from all around to see us-
WE LOVE YOU and WE LOVE COLORADO!!!

A night with the Ladies

(Perusing the menu)
Last Friday Jordan was doing a fill-in playoff game for the Arizona Sundogs in New Mexico and so I was flying solo for the night. Eric informed Alie, Michelle, and I that he would be making dinner for us and all we needed to do was be there by 6:45... We couldn't decide if we wanted to wear nice dresses or sweatpants ....needless to say, we wore both!! We had such a great evening listening to Jordan on the radio and being served AWESOME food by Eric. It was complete with an extensive menu and cocktails! Thanks to Eric for a wonderful meal and Alie and Michelle for great company!

Weekend Wonder

This has been a wonderful weekend - I'll tell you all about it!
Friday we celebrated Jordan's Birthday (BTW - Happy Birthday to my folks too!) by bbq'ing at Barry and Fonda's house with some of the team. And then we met Dave and Christine for some drinks at Mulligan's...After awhile we wandered over to Burberry's where we met Michelle and some more of the players. It was a fun evening with the Birthday Boy!!

Saturday we took the dog on a long walk, did a little shopping, had lunch and watched The Full Monty (neither of us had seen it). Today, we rearranged the living room furniture, got groceries, cleaned up the house and read at Starbucks for a while. I researched Europe in my Let's Go Europe book. Jordan is reading a book called Zamboni Rodeo...more to come on this book. A wonderful weekend was had by the Duvall's!

Umm. Awesome.

Counting Crows just came out with their first album (Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings) in I think six years and it is fantastic. Gavin Degraw is releasing one in May. This is going to be a great summer :)

LOVE IT!!!
