Jordie

Jordan is on the road yet again. They are playing the Arizona Sundogs - The team left last night at midnight and due to mechanical issues, did not arrive until 5 pm this evening! GO GORILLAS! Please win this game.

Worky-Worky

I have a name tag - It is official. Well, I have worked one week and although I thought my brain was going to explode with all the information to know, it did not and we are happy about that! Because we log more hours than we really should, we get to take a half-day once a week...totally awesome!

We tried!

Jordan and I, along with Eric and Alie sat in front of the TV for almost every pitch of every Rockies game waving our "rally rags" ... And it obviously didn't work. What a crazy and wonderful run they had. We would have liked a different out come, but it was so very entertaining while it lasted. I enjoyed it so much because we had season tickets when the Rockies first started. As a little girl, it felt like I went to 100 games although I'm sure it was more like 10... Anyway, this series brought back a lot of great memories of watching baseball with my daddy! GO ROCKIES!!!

More Ah-ckey!

I took some pics this weekend while at the arena - If you look close enough you can see the Partridge Family style panels along the upper concourse ... charming :)
The one in the middle is Jordan hosting a Jersey Auction after Saturday's game. All the Season Ticket Holders and Gorilla Faithful stayed after the game and paid lots of money for the STINKY jerseys!
We have had a long weekend full of hockey (no win though ) and it finally got chilly today!!! Fall is in the air- Looks like winter is in the air in CO ! Can't wait to see you mom and dad!

Listening to Jordan

Listening to Jordan on the Internet will be slightly different this year so I thought I would show you how to access his broadcasts. The Central Hockey League (CHL) is offering free radio/video broadcasts of every game this season, but you must download the CHL player. To do this:

1. Go to either http://www.amarillogorillas.com/ or www.centralhockeyleague.com/

2. Look for this icon and click on it
3. From there you should be able to figure it out - Once you install the player on your computer you're good for the season and you can choose which game you want to listen to and either the home or away broadcaster ! Should be cool!

Da Scoop

Here's what's going on lately:

1. Becca is employed! I am working for Wells Fargo! YAY!

2. Hockey starts tomorrow! Jordan has been working really hard (as has everyone in the office) and whether they are ready or not, puck drops @ 7:05 pm !

3. I don't know if you've heard - THE ROCKIES ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!

4. My mom and dad are visiting next week!!!!!!!

5. Jim and Jill are visiting the week after that!!!!!

6. Life is good!

Welcome to the Panhandle, Y'all!

I have not had the best time finding a job here in Amarillo.... I have been offered two pre-school teaching jobs but the very sad and heart-breaking reality is that I could literally make more money working at the Toot-N-Totum (gas station) than in Amarillo Childcare. Not that I expected for a second that childcare would pay, but really, this is nuts.

Total bummer but I know that God will lead me in the right direction soon enough!

Some have asked where exactly in TX we are - Hope this helps . See, we're hardly in TX at all :)

I heart being a GORILLA

I was in Jordan's office helping out yesterday - Alie and Eric and I were making plans for our Casting Crowns Concert later that night. We got these tickets for free and Eric said we needed to be there about an hour early because there was some work we ought to help with before the concert. He lied!

We had to be there early to Meet and Greet CASTING CROWNS!!!!! It was pretty awesome and they were super cool!! Eric is the bomb and I heart being a Gorilla!

P.S. If you have a chance to see them - do it, they were great!

In case you've been wondering - Yes, Jordan is on the verge of hyperventilating at any given moment.

Texas.

Yes we live in Texas, we understand if you don't come to visit. I'm kidding, we have actually really enjoyed our time here so far, and so will you! Here are some preliminary pics of our crib. Our belongings are finding homes and it gets better everyday!

The first day chaos!

We needed more space to put things so we bought several storage items and this was one I assembled! Our living room is coming together ! YAY!

I do not have a job yet....which is driving me nuts, but I know the right job will be coming soon. Jordan has been insanely busy at work and is headed to Oklahoma City tomorrow until Sat. for two pre-season games.

There are some definite perks to working for a Hockey team as we have already found out. The Honda needed some work when we arrived here (thank God it made it here in the first place :) and we got it fixed for free...I am going to the Casting Crowns concert tomorrow night with Eric and Alie as a result of the close relationship the Gorillas have with the Civic Center. Needless to say, we are enjoying ourselves very much so far and appreciate all the prayers and well-wishes from our family and friends! We now have Internet so more posts to come!

Lindsey and Garrett

I cannot tell you how wonderful Lindsey and Garretts wedding turned out - The Lumber Baron was beautiful (after some hard work by the fam!), the weather was great, the Bride.....GEORGEOUS!!!! We just really had a great time with all of our family, Garrett's family and all their friends! Here are some pics of the event - please note these are not the "official" wedding photos!

They left for Portland for their honeymoon and I'm hoping there will be a Honeymoon Post on her site at some point ;) Love you guys!
