Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas...

All in all, we had a great Christmas! We did not spend it with our families like we would have liked to, but we did spend it with each other and with friends! We spent the morning opening presents and drinking coffee, and mashing potatoes, and then caught Charlie Wilson's War at 2:00 (Good movie btw). After that Jordan and I had Christmas dinner with Eric and Alie. It was SO good! Tomorrow it's back to reality :( Thank you everyone for everything ~ The gifts, phone calls, cards, etc.
We are continuously reminded how truly blessed we are and today especially, I give all thanks to Jesus for the blessing of life and the blessing of family that seems to show up no matter where we are.

Yes, this is my first I-Pod and I'm stoked!

I can't wait to dive into this one! Thank you Lindsey, you're the best, and I LOVE the jacket!

This was my early Christmas present on behlaf of Jordan!!!

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
-Luke 2:11-2:14

Christmas Fun

On Thursday night Wells Fargo took our branch to dinner and a Christmas Lights Limo ride to reward us for being really productive! It was a fun time for sure!

Tiffany and I were being silly with the mirror on the roof of the limo....

This was my holiday cookie of choice - I stuffed work stockings with them and sent some to work with Jordan... I have not yet attained the high level of cookie baking that my mom has, as she makes like six standard holiday treats every year... I'll get there eventually :) Have a good weekend getting prepared for Christmas!!!!! LOVE YOU ALL

Wells Christmas Party

Last night was the Wells Fargo Chirstmas Party, and it was your typical corporate party. This is a picture of Tiffany (another teller) and my boss, Melissa.
So, I went dark again with my hair, and when I do that it starts out a little too dark and then fades into something really nice. So, for the next two weeks I will be waiting for it to fade. Hope everyone is having a great weekend ~ does anyone want to write a paper for me?

Busy Week

This week has felt super busy and this weekend will be the same!

Monday:Jordan had his Coach's Show 6-7pm (we hung out until nine with some of the season ticket holders)

Tues: I had a staff meeting until 7:30 and then ran over to the Civic Center to meet Jordan for Blue Man Group

Wed: GOT MY HAIR DID!!!! I was lucky enough to find a GREAT girl named Ereca at the only Bumble & Bumble Salon in Amarillo - I feel lucky. Was there until eight.

Thurs: Jordan leaves for road trip

Friday: Wells Fargo Christmas Party - Woot!

This weekend I am writing a 12 pager and Christmas Shopping. FYI- Jordan is making his Christmas list when he gets to the hotel tomorrow morning!

*I have a couple lists (my mom and dad) already, but if there are any floating around for anyone, could ya send 'em my way? Love to you all ~

Blue Man Group

As I have mentioned before, there are instances where Jordan and I get tickets to events at the Civic Center here in Amarillo - Tuesday night we attended Blue Man Group... To be honest, I really had no idea what to expect and now having seen them the best way for me to describe it is an "odd musical experience". It was a really good time, I would say a mix of comedy, rocking music, and a light display. We had fun and I'm glad we had the opportunity to go!

Tis the Season!

To follow my own holiday tradition, we busted out the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving afternoon. Here's the before pic:

AND AFTER:
I was sure to leave the angel for Jordan to put on top! Hhhhmmmmmm, it seems like I've done this post before

23 big ones!

That's right , I'm 23 years old! For my 23rd birthday, Jordan was in CO on a road trip so it included a super day of work, Pei Wei, a "warm vanilla sugar" bubble bath followed by cuddling with Wallace!
I wanted to thank everyone for all the phone calls, texts, cards, gifts, and birthday wishes. I am so blessed and it made being alone on my B-day seem like nothin'! I love you all!!!!!
I recieved my first ever wrapped present from Jordan :) He gave me some awesome I-Tunes and this book so we can start thinking about taking a trip to Eurpoe in a couple years!! Thank you honey, I love you.
I tore it up shopping today with birthday money!!!!! I hit Kohls and now own much of the Daisy Fuentes line I also got some new black pumps, a pair of jeans, and earrings! Hopefully Jordan will want to go shopping with me tomorrow!

Thanksgiving!

My Thansgiving was spent in Amarillo with my folks who were able to drive down to be with us!!! I put the turkey in the oven at 5:00 am for a 10 am feast (Jordan was leaving at noon for a road trip, but didn't end up leaving until 3:00)! So, we had a fantastic feast at ten and then hung out for much of the day. Wallace was caught watching the dog show :) Thanks a gain, Mom and Dad for making the trek down here, I am so thankful you could come!

Happy Thanksgiving ~

Sadly, I am not able to come to CO for Thanksgiving due to being shorthanded at work and not having days off available yet , blah,blah,blah.... I am not too happy about it (and the same will be true for Christmas) , but MY PARENTS ARE COMING TOMORROW!!! I am very excited about that. They will only be here for a brief moment (leaving Friday morning) but I will be so glad to have someone here to spend the day with me! Jordan is lucky enough to be able to see both families on Thanksgiving. He will be leaving for a road trip to CO at noon on Thursday!

This week has been a little stressful and I have been cranky today, but I am so excited for THANKSGIVING! Please pray for good travel weather for everyone ooot and aboot!

1 C Canned Pumpkin
1/2 C Shortening

Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, CAN'T LOSE!

Our lateset Television obsession has been Friday Night Lights - They are currently in their second season and we have been catching up thanks to NBC.com - I love this show, I hope it NEVER EVER gets cancelled.
I can relate to it on many different levels. It is about the Dillon Panthers, a high school football team in West Texas. There are so many characters and plots that I feel reflect my personal high school experience, and even now as the wife of someone involved in the sports world. The actors are surprisingly awesome and it is much much more than a "football" show. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!

Fall is in the Air

...And what better way to celebrate than baking PUMPKIN COOKIES!!!This little treasure is a family recipe found in "My Favorite Recipes" (I did have it all along, mom. But thanks for sending it again!))

This pic makes it look like I ate all but three on the plate :)

Love, Love, Love the CMAs

As always I am glued to the TV when any award show is on, but I especially love the Country Music shows! Jordan and I watched it while he packed for his roadtrip - Here's my take-

My favorite performances last night:Miranda Lambert

Sugarland
Fav speech: Kenny

Best Dressed: Carrie Underwood

P.S. I feel there is something evil about Carrie Underwood, I'm not sure I know what it is, but regardless she looked amazing and performed flawlessly.

P.S.S. Yes, that was Jamie Foxx with Rascal Flatts. No, it wasn't good.

Welcome to the "Laundry Saloon"

While Jim was here he put up these awesome Saloon doors to help block out some of the laundry/cleaning stuff we have! So, I now refer to this area as our "Laundry Saloon"!

More of Saturday

Stomp - Voted the best CHL mascot 3 years running

After the big win, Jim and Jill joined us at Mulligan's for a Team Celebration! Alie, me and Michelle

Jim and Jill Visit - And we get a WIN!

What a fun weekend we had with Jim and Jill! It was full of hockey (as usual), laundry (thank goodness) and odds n' ends tasks! The Gorillas had been struggling to get a win, that is until the Duvall's rolled into town! We finally got shootout win against who else but the Colorado Eagles...
It was so good to see the Duvall parents and we are so thankful to now have a washer and dryer!!!! Thanks again for coming down to visit!!
I tried to add more pics, but Blogger said no ! when Blogger is being nice again, I will post on...

Jordie

Jordan is on the road yet again. They are playing the Arizona Sundogs - The team left last night at midnight and due to mechanical issues, did not arrive until 5 pm this evening! GO GORILLAS! Please win this game.

Worky-Worky

I have a name tag - It is official. Well, I have worked one week and although I thought my brain was going to explode with all the information to know, it did not and we are happy about that! Because we log more hours than we really should, we get to take a half-day once a week...totally awesome!

We tried!

Jordan and I, along with Eric and Alie sat in front of the TV for almost every pitch of every Rockies game waving our "rally rags" ... And it obviously didn't work. What a crazy and wonderful run they had. We would have liked a different out come, but it was so very entertaining while it lasted. I enjoyed it so much because we had season tickets when the Rockies first started. As a little girl, it felt like I went to 100 games although I'm sure it was more like 10... Anyway, this series brought back a lot of great memories of watching baseball with my daddy! GO ROCKIES!!!

More Ah-ckey!

I took some pics this weekend while at the arena - If you look close enough you can see the Partridge Family style panels along the upper concourse ... charming :)
The one in the middle is Jordan hosting a Jersey Auction after Saturday's game. All the Season Ticket Holders and Gorilla Faithful stayed after the game and paid lots of money for the STINKY jerseys!
We have had a long weekend full of hockey (no win though ) and it finally got chilly today!!! Fall is in the air- Looks like winter is in the air in CO ! Can't wait to see you mom and dad!
