Makes me wanna cry....

It looks as though the "Bell Train" will not be making it's way through Fort Collins this year :( It's official, Kyle Bell, our greatest hope for this season is out after he tore his ACL..... It breaks my heart, but maybe this will be a good chance for others like, Gartrell Johnson to step up! I certainly hope so...Gartrell is one scary dude...i ran inot him on campus once and he I was scared for my life. I wish Kyle Bell all the luck in the world for a speedy recovery and a chance for next year! Peace Out!

This is Gartrell.

This Saturday started off at Buffalo Wild Wings in Broomfield...

It was Fantasy Football Draft day...ooooohhh, exciting, I know. Jordan had the #1 draft pick. Sweet. As whitney explained in her post, we stared at each other and drank diet coke for almost four hours... And then our fun time came! My parents and Jordan's parents were nice enough to come to broomfield to show us our wedding pictures and drink some coffee! Thank you all for driving to meet us! The wedding picture post is in the works, but there are a lot of pics to upload!

Saturday Night:

Jordan and I, along with Jody and Whitney met up with our friends, Tyler and Mandy for some sushi! The wait was an hour so we went across the street to Elliots for some pre-dinner martinis! Yummy!

New Blogger in town...Well outta town actually!

My best friend Melissa Teten is in town this week for her wonderful sister April's wedding... I got to see her TWICE today (i happened to have my camera at work!) and it jsut put a spring in my step! She informed me that she is now BLOGGING!!! nothing has ever been more exciting.... here it is :

Melissa "Friggen" Teten

I have placed it under "favorite blogs" for easy access...oh boy, whitney is going to be so excited! Bye for now everyone!

Toe Update!

Well, this photo got uber-gross once i blew it up and posted it here...it wasn't as yucky on the camera. My injury is healing nicely. I finally took off the nail polish and have been watching it change all kinds of colors ... it doesn't really hurt anymore unless Wallace dances on it with all of his weight, which he does on a daily basis, he is so disrespectful.

This is the SilverStar Steak Company... Jordan's general manager has a possible hook up as a server at this steak house!

I can't wait to taste-test!

The Helena Bighorns/Mighty Ducks

Jordan in his "crows nest" thats what they called it, its a pretty rickety booth up above the action... were going to spend some time fixing it up, bc im afraid he's going to fall out of it, or send his laptop flying off the edge in a fit of excitment!

I snuck this pic from the crows nest! i left the crows nest quickly after this pic was taken, bc i was scared! im such a woosie!

A very pretty place we're going!

More Pics For Yooouuuuu!

I just spend 35 minutes posing all these and then i pushed the wrong button...and POOF! they were gone! I hate that...anywho, here i go again..

Just a pic down the street of "old town"

The church in the forefront is a Presbyterian Church and the Catherdral in the background is a Catholic church...

The Cathedral up close...

and up close, out the car window

The Capitol Building, Helena is the capitol of Montan-ya incase you were wondering...

Okay, so on sat. we were very frustrated about not having found a place to live and not knowing a soul... Until we saw a

nice couple moving out of

their condo, we got out of the car to ask them about it. And that's when i realized i was wearing a matching outfit to the girl and her fiancee was wearing a CSU hat... They invited us in to look around and we chatted for a while...he was from greely and they were getting married! Anywho, there was already an application in on their condo, but the landlord gave us a couple leads.. we were bummed but, thats okay, we met a very nice couple that we have a lot in common with!

Still more pics coming!

Watch out Helena, Here come the Duvalls!

This is the official blog posting to announce that Jordan and I are indeed moving to Helena, MT.

Jordan accepted a job in Helena as the play-by-play radio broadcaster for the Helena Bighorns...They are a Junior B level hockey team in the Northern Pacific Hockey League (i know, it's like a foriegn language) To put it simply, they are really good 16-20 year olds who play hockey... I like to refer to them as the "Helena Mighty Ducks"! I started quacking while we were watching a scrimmage, jordan did not find it funny. (he did giggle a little thoguh)

We drove there this last weekend (10 1/2 hrs. is all) to visit and try to find a place to live...It was a super quick trip and we did not happen to find a place to live yet, but we did get some good leads. Here are a bunch of pics- this was as we drove past the campus football field (CSU)

Carrol College, it was a beautiful campus...

Bert and Ernies! We're going to have to vivist here!

I promise there are more pictures, but the blog wont allow it! All in all, we a had a great rip and i think we are really going to like it, maybe even love it ;) The last week has been very bittersweet, but i am getting more and more excited about MT , but not excited about these couple of week ahead....... Have a great day XOXO

When dinner rolls fly!

So, Jordan got home from work yesterday night (he is catering for Colorado State), and in a very casual, nonchalant tone said,

"So, I got hit in the eye with a dinner roll tonight."

I hit the floor laughing, and laughing and laughing.... Poor guy, his eye was watering ALL night and got swollen and goopy. Too funny, think he could get worker's compensation for a dinner-roll-to-the-eye injury?

Crossing our fingers, but not toes...

Today was sort of really exciting...

I went in with the rest of my papers to apply for financial aid... i was worried that it wouldn't go through in time for Fall semester, but the nice people at CSU assured me that in about a week i will have an award package! YAY!

Jordan got a job interview for tomorrow that he is really excited about, so please cross your fingers and pray that this works out ... the man needs a job.

We made the decision to vacate our apartment my the end of the month! We knew this place would be temporary, but when i was sitting in the couch this morning and found an ant climbing up my arm, i said "Wallace, we're moving out!" (jordan was out and about, thats why i didnt tell him) So that's really exciting for us to be in new place for longer than a couple months...

AND THEN

I broke my toenail off.

At the end of my work day I was propping the front door open to pull in our summer sale shelf of product... i put my foot on the stopper to pull the door taught and thats when it attacked me...blood and everything. Luckily, the nail is still attatched (and lucky the toe bone didnt break like jill's did).... So, my wonderful husband is taking care of me (he poured the peroxide on my toe even though it makes him queasy, that's love. ) and keeping wallace from stepping on my toe... plus he cooked a delicious dinner! Good night to all of you out in blog-land and I hope you all take care of your toenails!

This n' that...and a duck!

Not much is going on here at the duvall household, so i am posting some hodge-podge pics ...

This is a purchase we made at target a couple weeks ago...i cannot pin-point the reason, but this duck just makes me laugh and laugh and laugh...needless to say, i had to have it!

We got wall blocks and filled them with some cool things...the home decor is not quite there yet, but i imagine as time goes on we will collect all the right pieces...the silly duck wil have to do !

The piec of art we chose to take up some wall space...i dig.

And... a bonus pic of William Wallace and mama... He almost pushed me over the edge yesterday, but we are all better and are friends again. I love Wallace, and cannot wait until we can get a bigger place for his sake!

Have a good night everyone!!!!
