Peace Out Melissa!

Today, i had breakfast with one of my very best friends, Melissa...She is moving to Florida with her husband john on wed. :( They work for the Navigators program, which is a college-aged ministry, and they are starting a brand new branch at the University of Florida. I am so proud of my friend and am going to miss her beyond words...

My Husband, Bob Villa ...

For our wedding, Jordan and I were fortunate enough to have been given bedroom furniture from my Papa... however, the legs to the headboard were not delivered with it so
Jordan and i have been sleeping with the box-spring and bed on the floor waiting for the company to send us the part we needed. Today we got that piece! YAY!

We put it all together only to find that the bed slats that support the bed were about a foot and a half short... Whoops! so, at 8:30 pm we head to Home Depot to make our own!
Jordan and wallace drilling the bed slat....
YAY! they fit! (we measured about 100 times!)

AND......

THE FINAL PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOP! There it is!

Thank you Rachel for beng so prompt in sending me this pic!

My lovely lady friends at chili's this weekend.

Two of the most beautiful, funny, wonderful women i've ever met!

Our First Married People Weekend!

On Friday night Jordan and I went for a grill-out at Jody and Whitney's house (I made stuffed mushrooms, and it so happens that that's the only picture i took, but whit snapped a few)... We got to see some old friends (Jeff, Jason, Scott & Maggie) and eat some delicious food! Thnak you fellow Duvalls for the hospitality (Southern and otherwise :)
We were supposed to go to out friend Chicago's house after that, but i was SO tired and had to work at 8:30 the next day so I went home... Sorry we didnt make it :( I am an old lady now.

Saturday my hubbs and i saw Lady In the Water..... LAME! Totally disappointing especially since it was an M. Night Shyamalan movie (Also did Sixth Sense, Signs, and The Villiage).....not his best work.

But then met up with my best girlfriends Cansas and Rachel for a marg at Chilis and Queso, and Dessert.........I was in heaven. I love those two girls, i always leave with a sore stomach from laughing so much! This was not from Saturday, but when rachel sends me the pic I will post it

Our very humble abode...

Welcome to our home!
Our very small apartment is beginningto take shape...slowly. We are very fortunate that we have too much stuff and not nearly enough space...

One bedroom apartment + full sized boxer with energy pouring out his ears = one big headache for all parties involved.

This place is temporary until Jordan gets a"real job", and i am hoping that this is the little place that we look back on an laugh about... it better be :) One thing i have noticed is that even in this tiny place, I am in the happiest place on earth because this is where my husband and our puppy live, and thats all that matters...... I am a happy girl.

Honeymoon Part Deux.....

There was a Mexico Rain Storm on Thursday night... I was scared, jordan thought it was awesome! This was outside our balcony...

Out our front door...the floor was covered in rain!

We survived the storm and here we are hanging out by the pool...

Another oceanside pic... i did not go in the ocean this trip, because by track-record with the ocean waves is not good at all and im not as fearless as i used to be... we did walk along the beach though

I think Pueblo Bonito should hire me as a photographer... i pointed out the window and shot the pice, easy as pie!

Pic of the room, just hanging out after a really really long day sleeping by the pool, life was rough this last week.... Next blog.... THE APARTMENT!!!

The Duvall's Are Back!!!

I regret to inform you that i do not have a single wedding picture to post ... yet! My mama is picking up the candid disposable pics today, but the "official" wedding pics will not be ready for 4-6 weeks! So sorry, but to hold you over for a little while, i do have HONEYMOON PICS!! Joday and Whitney were right, it is hard to take pics commemorating your time there, because there are only two of you! So, here they are. Our travels took us to Mazatlan, Mexico....a HUMONGOUS thank-you to Jim and Jill for their very generous gift!!
Mr and Mrs. Duvall... this is us on our balcony the first night we were there!
I'm fairly certain that this is Heaven...
Beautiful grounds around Emerald Bay .....

Mr. Duvall sipping on a margarita...yummy!

A portrait.....

A marg for the honeymooner at Kelly's Bar!!!!!

And one for him too!!!

The hubby exiting the pool, wierd shot, but i like it anyway!!!

More pics to come, this post wouldnt put any more on!!!!

Wedding Eve...

Well, here it is..... Tonight is the night before my wedding. My wedding. I cannot even believe it is here.

Today was a fun-filled day of running errands, bridal lunchoen at Suehiros Japanese Restaruant, and then more crazieness, rehersal and then rehersal dinner...........All of our favorite people are here in the same place, and that feeling is surreal.

Wish us luck tomorrow as we do this thang!! Everyone asks, " Are you nervous?" Nope. I am not nervous about the man i am marrying or the marriage, i just get anxious having to entertain 200 people..... it's gonna be a hoooooot!!!

Thank you again to EVERYONE who has helped in the least bit for this day to happen. Goodnight to everyone and maybe I'll blog in MEXICO!!!!!!! Take care and be well.
