Avalanche Re-Cap!

Let me first apologize for the lack of pictures. I'm not going to blame anyone for not bringing a camera, but Jordan said you can't use flash photography, which is very true. But what is also true is that not all pictures need a flash to be taken. But i'm not going to blame anyone :) Needless to say, no pictures. We had such a fun time!!!! Just to reiterate, we were 4 rows from the glass, I counted the missing teeth in Cody McCormick's face!!

Parking: $5
Deluxe Nachos, a hot dog w/ sauerkraut, two sodas, and dippin' dots: $31 (and a fair amount of heartburn)
Sharing in the one thing that my future hubby loves almost as much as he loves me: Priceless.

Silly Little Elbert County

This evening I was on the internet (b/c I am always on the internet) and for some reason I found myself on the Elbert County webpage... For those of you who don't know, this is the tiny county that I had the honor (seriously) of growing up in. So, I was just poking around and went to the FAQ page, just to see what the people of Elbert County are curious about these days, and not at all to my surprise this was the first question on the list:

Q: Where do I find my septic tank?

Come on Elbert County, the people want to know!

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and toot my own horn...

In case you can't read what that says, it indicates that I, Rebecca Renee Blackham have received an A- on my first "final" speech in Advanced Public Speaking. Granted, Dr. Burgchardt doesn't really grade that hard, and this wasn't that hard of an assignment. But, nonetheless, I got an A- and that is something I have not seen in a while. Yippie! Ok, my horn tooting is over, thanks for listening!

A great end to the Week!

Saturday night, after work, Jordan and I decided to go to the jewelry store to get an idea of what kind of wedding bands we might want. Well, we were super-duper decisive and went ahead and bought us rangs! What this means is that if we decide to elope, we are all set ;)
We then we had some of the Famous Jody Duvall hambugers for dinner and watched a little b-ball! What a great evening! (I'd just like to add that "Ruby" is not that bad of an idea)

Today (Sunday) I drove down to Aurora to see my Cousin Stephen who was in town for a while. He is a Marine and just got back from a tour that took him to Hong Kong, the armpit of Australia (according to him and the natives), and Kuwait among other places. This pic is Lindsey Paige (my cousin and M.O.H.), Mom and Dad, baby Bandit, Auntie Gail, Auntie Merna, and Steve. We had Chipotle thanks to Aunt Merna!! and Yummy cake thanks to Aunt Gail! We were also celebrating Steves birthday and Christmas b/c we won't see him due to another deployment... We love you Steve and are so very proud of you!

Linds, Steve, Me

Where does the time go?

Although it has been spring break for me this last week, I have obviously been on a blogging hiatus :( I will give you a run-down, in pictures, of what I have been up to...As you look at these pictures, insert pictures of me working after every one. That has taken up the bulk of my break!

After a long week, my roommates and I kicked off Spring Break on Friday night at the Rio!
This is me and Shelley, and then Shelley and chyrise!

Saturday morning, I drove home for a very short stay to have Birthday Dinner with Birthday-Boy Jim, Jill, and Soon-to-be Birthday Boy Jordan. I also came home because we were having a potluck for our Pastor at home, Pastor Tracy... He and his family are moving to TX and we will miss them VERY much! This picture is of Lenny and Bandit sleeping, it's what they do best!

Ok, here's where you insert WORK, WORK, WORK, and the sundance with Jody, Whitney, and her brothers Sam and Jay! They are such sweet boys and we were so glad to have gotten to meet them! Come back to visit soon!!!! Sorry for the lack of pics, they are on Jordan's camera and have not been sent to me yet...I will be sure to post them later!

St. Patty's Day started at 7 o'clock in the evening with my work ladies who are an absolute HOOT! We ate some food, drank some beer (that was made green by my ever-prepared friend, Steph, who brought her own food coloring :))
These are my friends Charleena (the one with the tattoo) and my funniest friend ever, Steph (with the green glasses) They are some crazy girls, but I love it! After hanging with them until ten I moved to Trailhead to meet up with Jordan & Co. (see below)
Erin, Shelley, Brian, Jake, Tom, and Jordan!
It was a great St. Patty's Day and a busy Spring Break! But now is the time to get down to business and get this semester over with!!

One order of Holy Moly, and a side of Sorry!

I tend to go full-steam ahead during the first part of the week, and then come wednesday, thursday, friday I realize i have neglected my blog all week, my apologies :( Well, as anticipated, this week has been insane! It is mid-term week, which this semester has been sort of equivalent to a finals week... two tests, an final speech (that went pretty danged well) , two papers. On top of that, Jordan has been playing Intramural Basketball in the evenings, so after work, I have been heading there to cheer on the boys!! Unfortunatley, this year they lost in semi-finals, it was heartbreaking...I know, intramural basketball, heartbreaking? Indeed it was! But good job this season, you played hard!

Anywho, after tomorrow, I am on Spring Break!!!! It will be nice break from school, but not a break at all from WORK! My boss and our two other receptionists are all fleeing the state to leave me in charge of the salon!! Everybody who comes in is leaving with PINK hair, because I like PINK and I SAID SO!!!

Friday night in FoCo (Happy Birthday Jody!)

After a busy week nothing sounded better than to meet up with the Old Folks (Jody and Whitney) for Jody's BIRTHDAY!! So, after they had dinner, we met them at Lucky Joe's for some fun! And here's the proof:

The Irish Blanket on the wall...Future sisters-in-law!
Me and another A.D.D. moment from Jordan :)
Whitney and everybody's favorite...BRANDO!

The Brithday Boy and his lovely wife! (this was once we migrated to Zydeco's for some dancing)

Yet another fun night in Fort Collins! Now it's time to hunker down and get ready for a week of mid-terms before SPRING BREAK '06! ......I kinda made that sound more exciting than it's really going to be...I'm working...a lot . $$$$$$$$

Yesterday and Today

Well, these past two days feel like they have been jam-packed with things going on, but they really haven't been. I have been sick the last two days :(... Yesterday Jordan and I took a LONG walk from his house all the way to Old Town with Willy Wallace. And then we spent a couple hours messing with the guest list and picking out invitations!! Yes! we picked invitations! Yippie! School has been crazy, which stinks b/c all i want to do is get excited about getting married, but a lot has to happen before that, so focus Becca, focus!

Tonight I had spoons with Jordie, and then got cranky for no reason, which should not surprise him at this point. He says I don't have a cold, but that I am suffering from "Crank-y-poo-itis" Real cute Jordan. Then I went to Starbucks to meet up with my fellow engaged friend, Melissa. We chatted about whats been going on in our lives, the stresses of going to school full-time, working part-time and the trasistion from all of that to being married and being adults... I'm so blessed to have her in my life and to be going through the exact same thing as her right now... I am stressed but all that melts away when I'm around family and good friends!

This is Melissa and me when we were living together, and baking brownies together!

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSIE!!! YOU ARE THE YOUNGEST LOOKING @% YEAR-OLD WE KNOW!!!
